Overview
Indiana homeschools are non-public, non-accredited schools (IC 20-33-2-12, per IDOE). A parent must provide ‘instruction equivalent to that given in public schools’ (IC 20-33-2-28); IDOE notes state law does not define equivalent instruction and that homeschools are not bound by Title 20 or 21 curriculum requirements. The school cannot require registration or proof of curriculum before you withdraw (IDOE FAQ).
